BREMEN - For the first time in her life, Micaela (Box) Schalliol was actually happy to see the guests with more points on the scoreboard than the home team at Bremen’s Lions Den.
The Bremen HS alum, but now second-year head coach for the Plymouth HS girls basketball team, experienced her first win over her alma mater on the same court she called home in high school as the Lady Pilgrims held off the Lady Lions, 56-46, behind a big night from Lena Jones and at the foul line.
“It’s good to be back,” said Schalliol about the comfortable surroundings, although decked out in red nowadays instead of green. “(Bremen head coach) Alex Robinson has a good group and he’s been doing great things with his team.”
