EAST CHICAGO — The Plymouth Wrestling Team qualified eight Rockie Wrestlers into the 2019-20 IHSAA Semi-State Tournament. After a very long, but exciting day, the Rockies will have 2 representatives heading to Indianapolis next week.

WALKERTON - Two teams with opposite levels of success this season met on the basketball court of TCU Gym Tuesday night for a cross-conference tussle.

BOURBON - Sectionals for high school boys basketball are still about a month away, but the two favorites in Class 1A Sectional 50 met at the Trojan Trench and if a postseason meeting goes anything like it did Thursday night, buckle up as Triton escaped with a 47-44 win over Argos.

CULVER - In a game where every point was at a premium, it was good old fashioned free throws that were the difference as Argos led end to end in a 22-18 round one sectional win over Triton.

MIDDLEBURY — The good news from Plymouth’s final regular season girls basketball game is that leading scorer Claire Tanner should be fine for the postseason. The bad news is its 58-36 loss on Northridge’s Senior Night doesn’t exactly scream optimism.

PLYMOUTH — Plymouth's class of 2020 went out in a big way in their final home appearance of the season taking a 50-24 win over the Culver Academy.

PLYMOUTH — To rephrase a popular sports joke, "I went to a fight and an NLC basketball game broke out". On a night when both teams seemed to land their share of punches, Wawasee landed one more and walked away with their first conference win of the season by a 48-46 final.

LAKEVILLE - In a game where the defense had a stranglehold, it was Triton's Lady Trojans that were able to put together enough offense in the fourth quarter to come away with a come from behind 31-29 win and punch their ticket for the final game in the girls TCU Bi-County at LaVille High School.

CULVER — Culver Academy versus Mishawaka Marian has been one of the top high school boys basketball rivalries the past couple of years as the two programs have regularly been in the upper echelon of the Class 3A state rankings, as well as sectional foes.

SOUTH BEND - Culver Academy’s boys basketball team travels the state - and sometimes across the border - to find stiff competition. Saturday night’s challenge was a little bit closer to home when the Eagles traveled to South Bend Saint Joseph.

PLYMOUTH — It won't be one for the ages, but a win is a win as Plymouth's Pilgrims stayed unbeaten in NLC play with a 52-44 victory over Concord.

PLYMOUTH - Plymouth took an opportunity to say thank you to a man who will be a legend in PHS sports for more than just being a hall of fame coach. 

PLYMOUTH — Plymouth’s Lady Pilgrims threw the first punch and never looked back in taking a big win over LaPorte at home by a final of 56-45.

ELKHART — Elkhart's North Side gym has seen its fair share of classics and last night's game will surely take it's place in that list as Plymouth's Jake Reichard buried a three at the buzzer to give the Pilgrims a 53-50 win over Elkhart Memorial.

PLYMOUTH — Plymouth's Pilgrims continue to ride the roller coaster with a very up and down day of basketball, falling in game one of the First Source Bank Holiday Tournament by a 62-49 final to Knox then found a renewed energy in taking a solid 59-45 win over Whitko in the consolation matchup.

NAPPANEE — After a gut-wrenching loss on their home floor a week ago it would have been easy for Plymouth's Pilgrims to be overwhelmed with the task of playing NorthWood in "the Pit". They were anything but that, taking a big upset NLC win on the road 52-47.

BREMEN - If only you could carry points over from a previous game.

PLYMOUTH — Plymouth's Lady Pilgrims did everything right, but couldn't make shots fall as they fell to Warsaw by a final of 48-36.

MERRILLVILLE — Plymouth wrestlers traveled to Merrillville Saturday to wrestle in their invitational. The Rockies went 3-2 on the day in their five matches.

PLYMOUTH — A dream of a first half turned into a nightmare in the second as Plymouth’s Pilgrims were unable to hold a big first-half lead and wound up on the short end of a 51-47 final against Gary Roosevelt.

PLYMOUTH — It was the second double overtime in the last three games for Plymouth’s Lady Pilgrims with the same outcome as they fell at home to Chesterton by a 58-51 final.

PLYMOUTH — It’s unlikely that either team will have a lot for the highlight reel but the bottom line is Plymouth’s Pilgrims made plays and came away with a win at home by a 54-29 final.

PLYMOUTH - In the course of the season it is moving forward that is the test and while the results were disappointing in a loss in the home opener to New Prairie 46-29.

LOGANSPORT - The Plymouth Lady Pilgrim Basketball team made their last road trip of 2019 Monday night hitting the road and traveling to Logansport. It was a good trip as the Pilgrims easily downed the Berries 64-27. 

PLYMOUTH - It was exactly the type of game that Triton's Lady Trojans wanted but Plymouth out dueled them in a 38-22 win in the Lady Pilgrims first home game of the season.

HAMLET — It's a common theme when you talk to a great coach about his career. Their success is always somebody else's fault and it's for a very good reason — the great coaches know that it took a lot of very special and very dedicated athletes — and parents along the way to get you where you are.

HAMLET — Oregon-Davis #6 ranked (1A) Lady Cats took a big win on a Friday night defeating LaVille by an 85-28 final, but not to bury the lead, it marked win number 400 for Oregon-Davis head coach Terry Minix, a milestone reached by only eight other current girls coaches in Indiana.

GOSHEN — Plymouth’s co-champs of the NLC placed six first team members on the all conference squad and Rockie coach John Barron shares coach of the year honors in the NLC.

MISHAWAKA - Although it was not an ‘A’, the Plymouth girls basketball team still received high marks in an early season test Thursday night.
