Trustee Cabin Disassembly Begins

PLYMOUTH—Yoder Log and Timber Pros began carefully disassembling the Trustee Cabin on Aug. 16. It is presently in its original location on SR 17 and will be moved approximately 4.5 miles south to Memorial Forest where it will remain on permanent display. The Trustee Cabin is one of the oldest structures in Marshall County, built by Hiram Lyon, the first West Township trustee in 1847. This 1.5 story building, though the size of a large garden shed by today’s standards, functioned as a home for Lyon, his wife, and two daughters as well as Lyon’s office.
