State Road 331 to be closed over Tippecanoe River

MARSHALL COUNTY - The Indiana Department of Transportation announces a road closure for State Road 331 between High St and 18th Rd beginning Monday, March 1. 

This closure is south of Old Tip Town and north of Tippecanoe in Marshall County. This project is to rehabilitate the bridge over Tippecanoe River and is expected to be completed by early July, 2021. 

Motorists should seek an alternate route. The official detour will follow State Road 25, State Road 19 and State Road 10.

In 2019, Indiana Criminal Justice Institute reported that distracted driving from mobile devices was a factor in at least 1,263 crashes and three fatal crashes. To make Hoosier roads safer, Governor Eric J. Holcomb signed the Indiana Hands-Free law to reduce distracted driving across the state.
