MCPD assist in locating suspect

MARSHALL COUNTY — On Thursday, Sept.3 the Marshall County Police were contacted by the Terre Haute Police Department and asked to assist in locating 33 year old Jeffrey Recupido, 33, who was believed to be staying in the Plymouth area. Recupido was wanted by the Terre Haute Police Department for suspicion of Murder. He also had two active warrants. One for a parole violation and the other for armed robbery resulting in serious bodily injury. 

Recupido was observed walking and successfully taken into custody in the parking lot of Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center (SJRMC) of Plymouth without incident. He was taken to the Marshall County Jail and later transferred to Terre Haute.

Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is merely an allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
