MC Sheriff's Dept. releases details about officers involved in New Year's Eve shooting

Two Marshall County patrolmen have returned to work after being temporarily placed on paid administrative leave following a shooting incident that occurred in Starke County on December 31, 2020.
Authorities recently revealed that the officers involved were Patrolman Richard Prater, who has 14 years of experience with the Marshall County Sheriff's Department and Patrolman Blake Bennett, someone who has been with the department for 1 year and 10 months.
Investigators with the Indiana State Police Bremen District are currently investigating the incident. Upon completion of that investigation, ISP will submit their findings to the Starke County Prosecutor for review.
There is no additional information to release as the investigation is ongoing.
