Marshall County Auditor Receives Statewide Award

INDIANAPOLIS — The Association of Indiana Counties (AIC) announced that Marshall County Auditor Julie Fox received the 2020 Outstanding County Auditor Award. The award recognized her contributions made to county government throughout her years of public service.

Julie Fox is the President of the Auditor’s Association and has served as Marshall County Auditor since January 2015. She is currently completing her second term and has held several leadership positions with the Auditors’ Association. Fox has been honored by the AIC for achieving the Institute Certificate for completing 30 credit hours of training within four years and in 2019, she was awarded the AIC’s Continuing Education Certification for an additional 20 hours of coursework within one year. She has also served on the AIC Board of Directors.  Prior to becoming County Auditor, Julie Fox served as the Marshall County Clerk for two terms. 

The award was announced Sunday, Sept. 20, during the AIC Virtual Annual Conference. Representatives from public agencies, private entities, and local elected officials addressed issues such as: rural development, protecting employee’s health and workspace, retirement, crisis communications, a Statehouse report, and how to identify and prepare for the next extraordinary event – during the virtual event.

The Association of Indiana Counties, Inc. is a nonprofit organization established in 1957 for the betterment of county government.
