6th Annual Carrying our Communities Cross
Pastor Glen Mitchell was the first to bear the cross at the Carrying our Communities Cross event on Saturday, April 20. This is an annual event held the Saturday before Easter. Volunteers carry a full sized wooden cross 13.7 miles from the Starke County Courthouse in Knox to Norwayne Field in North Judson. The group's Facebook page states that the event's purpose is "to BEAR the trials and tribulations plaguing our community. Above all we want all residents in the area to know they are LOVED by us and God."
