Rochester man arrested for possession

MARSHALL COUNTY — On Friday, Sept. 4 at approximately 11 p.m., Marshall County Officer Wozniak initiated a traffic stop on a white 2002 Ford Explorer in the area of U.S. 30 and State Road 331. During the course of the investigation, the registered owner Solomon Newcomb provided a false name. He was found to have a felony warrant through Fulton County and was taken into custody.

The driver of the vehicle Destiny Hattabaugh was also found to have an active warrant through Miami County. Solomon was also found to be in possession of methamphetamine, paraphernalia, and marijuana after he attempted to conceal it in his pants. Solomon was taken to the Marshall County Jail for possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana, possession of paraphernalia and his active warrant.

Bond set at $3,005.

Destiny was taken to the jail to be held on her warrant only.

Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is merely an allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilty be made.
