It's easy to forget that today's Corndance Cafe -- then the Corner Tavern -- at the corner of Main and Madison Streets was once notably smaller than it is today, and in fact had been for much of the 20th century (the business operated as a tavern since at least the 1930s). But 20 years ago it underwent an expansion to the south and extensive renovation inside, as seen in the April 19, 1995 Culver Citizen.

For some perspective, click through to the second photo, taken in 1983 by Steve McDaniel (owner of Lakeside Automotive Supply on Main Street), which shows the building at its earlier size.
