Those in need requested to sign up

NAPPANEE — The Family Christian Development Center is inviting parents who need assistance providing Christmas gifts for their children, to sign up for Christmas Jubilee 2012 (held in partnership with Toys-for-Tots). This year’s Christmas Jubilee will be held Saturday Dec. 8, between 9 a.m. and noon at the Boy’s and Girl’s Club, located at 107 E. Marion St., in Nappanee.
Eligible parents who would like to participate should pick up a registration form at their child’s school, or contact the Family Christian Development Center at 574-773- 2149 (151 S. Locke St., Nappanee) for more information.
In order to register this year, parents will need only to show a photo ID, and present a birth certificate for each child (ages birth to high school seniors are eligible). All registrations must be returned to the schools by Nov. 30, or to FCDC by Dec. 3.
Anyone that knows of parents in the Wa-Nee Community School District who may not be able to provide gifts for their children this Christmas, is asked to share this information with them. All Toys-for-Tots boxes located in Nappanee or Wakarusa businesses will go to children in the Wa-Nee community. During the 2011 Jubilee, 429 children were served through this generous community effort. Call 574-773-2149; visit online or check us FCDC at Facebook to learn more.
