This weekend the Marshall County flood benefit concert is 4-9 p.m. Saturday in Plymouth’s River Park Square.

According to the Marshall County Emergency Management Agency, flooding during the winter “created devastation in a personal way for more than 200 families. While the flood waters have receded, many families are still dealing with loss and remain displaced.”

A countywide Long Term Recovery Committee was formed under the United Way of Marshall County and is using case managers and builders to help families most impacted – about 80 homes, according to the emergency management agency.

So far, more than $50,000 has been raised to help.

Five bands will be playing the family-friendly concert. The lineup is The Ukulele Klub of Elkhart, Cool Change, Slow Orbit, Lalo Cura and Babylon Sneakers, which is a Steely Dan tribute band, according to the agency.
The Plymouth Juggling Club will be on hand and there will be food vendors, a photo booth, face painting, a bounce house and balloon twister.

The suggested donation is $5 per person or $20 per family. Tickets are available at the gate for food and activities.
