Craig Romero scored twice as five different LaVille players found the back of the net in a 6-1 win at Westville Thursday.
Jordyn Williams, Josiah Lappin, Brandon Layne and Jaime Martin all scored for the Lancers as they outshot their hosts 31-3.
Joey Vest recorded a pair of saves in the win, which pushes LaVille to 10-1-1 on the year.

Bremen blanks Culver
Austin Adams made five saves in goal for Bremen, and the Lions shut out Northern State Conference foe Culver 3-0 at Bremen Thursday.
Josh Brenneman scored twice in the fifth and 51st minutes for Bremen, while Ricky Reynoso scored the game’s second goal in the 51st minute.
Bremen’s next game is at LaVille Monday at 5 p.m.

Plymouth falls to Panthers in 5
Plymouth battled back from a two-game deficit but couldn’t get over the hump in a five-game loss to visiting Northern Lakes Conference foe NorthWood at The Rock Thursday, 25-22, 29-27, 22-25, 21-25, 15-12.
Marissa German led the Lady Pilgrims’ attack with 16 kills followed closely by Amber Redinger with 15.
Haley Harell passed out 37 assists with 12 digs, while Redinger recorded five blocks at the net, and Carly Baker and Kori Potoczky each recorded four.
Savannah Bley led NorthWood in kills with 20 to go with five aces, while Allie Mattingly passed out a prolific 50 assists, and Maddie Schwartz led on defense with 27 digs.
Plymouth slips to 7-5 on the season and an even 1-1 NLC mark.

Laura Bailey led the Lady Bluejays attack with 15 kills, while Kayla Zimmerman had 10 kills and four aces. Elisabeth White set 30 assists, Staci Allen put 18 digs to target, and Carrigan Baxter made two blocks.

Girls golf
Bremen wins triangular
Bremen gathered two wins to run its record to 10-5 in a triangular match with John Glenn and Oregon Davis at Sprig O’Mint Golf Course in wet, cool and breezy conditions.
Laura Davis and Kailyn Weiss led the Lions with a pair of 50s, followed by Kaylin Worthington at 52 and Linsey Allen with a 59. For John Glenn, Anna Dunn and Morgan Eggleston recorded a pair of 52s, followed by Emma Reese at 55 and Presley Gee with a 58.
Ashley Clark led the Bobcats with a 70.
Both Bremen and Glenn will compete in the Northern State Conference Tournament this Saturday.

CGA beats Triton, LaVille
Culver Girls Academy topped the field, while Triton split with the Lady Eagles and LaVille in a triangular at Mystic Hills Thursday.
Kiira Vazales shot the meet low of 43 for CGA, followed by Helen Hansen’s 46, Samantha Siebel’s 47, and Mackenzie Toth’s 51.
Triton was led by Sydney Gochenour’s 47, while Hannah Jennings turned in a 49, Sabrina Kaufman shot a 64, and Melanie Clemens carded 70.
Whitney Brown turned in a 61 for LaVille, while Shayla Effert also broke 70 with a 67, and Kristana Newkirk and Melissa Hall carded respective scores of 72 and 73.

Freshman football
Rockies lose to Warsaw
The Plymouth Rockies freshman football team was defeated by Warsaw Thursday night, 21-7. Taylor Fulton scored Plymouth’s only touchdown and Jacob LaFree converted the extra point.
The freshmen drop to 1-2 and will host Northridge next Thursday at 5:30 p.m.

7th grade football
Lincoln moves to 2-0
The Lincoln seventh grade football team traveled to LaPorte on Wednesday night and upped its record to 2-0, defeating Boston 30-6.
Quarterback David Bacon executed the Rockies offense flawlessly, scoring from 10 yards out on a quarterback keep and threading a 19-yard touchdown pass to wide receiver Micah Calhoun. Running back Colten Schuler added to the Rockies’ offensive output, scoring on touchdown runs of 52 and 43 yards, and Schuler and running backs Caleb Koss and Tristen McMillen each punched in a conversion.
A stingy Rockies defense was led by linebackers Weston Houin and Nate Nixon. he Rockies look to continue their hot start on Saturday morning when they host Northwood.

8th grade volleyball
Lincoln wins 2
The Lincoln eighth grade volleyball team notched two wins against LaPorte Kesling Wednesday. Scores for the first match were 25-13, 25-24 and the second match 25-18, 25-20.
Lincoln’s record is 2-0 with the strong start.
