Bremen's girls basketball team advanced to the semifinal at the Class 2A Central Noble Sectional with a 58-53 win over Prairie Heights Tuesday night.
The Lady Lions advance to play Northern State Conference foe LaVille Friday at 6 p.m.

Jr. high wrestling
Lincoln dominates Urey
The Lincoln wrestling team defeated Urey Middle School (John Glenn) Tuesday night by a score of 114-12.
The lopsided score was a result of the improvements Lincoln's boys made in practice Monday after the weekend's tournament, and the Red Storm wrestlers grappled smarter, said Lincoln coach Phil Koops.
Lincoln is back in action Thursday at home against rival Edgewood Middle School from Warsaw.

8th grade girls basketball
Bremen falls to NorthWood, tops Triton
The Bremen eighth grade girls basketball team lost a hard-fought game with NorthWood Tuesday night, 34-28.
Alexis Jennings led the Lady Lions with 14 points and Bri Andrews scored seven .
The loss comes on the heels of a dominant 39-20 win over Triton Monday.
Jennings and Shannon Arndt each scored eight, and Trish Moser and Madison Coffel contributed six points each in a team effort where seven different Bremen players made a basket.

Men's college basketball
Chargers struggle at Jackson
The Ancilla men's basketball team lost a conference game to Jackson Community College Monday 87-79.
Rosey Green put up 17 points with eight assists for the Chargers, and Jacob Frazier finished with 17 points and five rebounds.
The loss drops Ancilla's record to 7-12 on the regular season and 1-8 in MCCAA play.
With two more games this week, the Chargers continue MCCAA play when they host Lansing Community College tonight with tipoff at 7:30 p.m.

Women's college basketball
Ancilla can't hang on at Jackson
The Ancilla women's basketball team lost a conference game Monday night to Jackson Community College, 115-69.
Kaylia Richardson poured in 37 points for the Lady Chargers, while Plymouth product Brittany Himes added 17.
Ancilla dips to 3-15 in regular season play and remains winless in the MCCAA at 0-9.
The Lady Chargers continue scheduled for 5:30 p.m.
