Plymouth Schools not on lockdown

Staff Report

Rumors of a lockdown at Plymouth School were circulating this morning. We received the following from Judi Lykowski, PCSC Marketing Director:

Plymouth Community School Corporation is committed to the safety and security of our students as well as our staff.

We received communication from an unidentified source, that a student had access to a weapon at school. The student reported to have access to a weapon, does not exist in our student body. Regardless, PHS will continue to work with local law enforcement to research the threat.

Please note, school is going on as usual and we are not on a lockdown. However, we understand that parents may choose to keep their child home or ask them to be released. Should that be the case, we ask parents to follow the normal protocol for reporting students' absences from school.

The Plymouth Community School Corporation and PHS administration thanks everyone for their patience and cooperation.
