Nappanee man accused of defrauding elderly Lakeville couple

A Nappanee man was arrested Thursday on suspicion of home improvement fraud after prosecutor’s say he failed to do work for an elderly Lakeville couple.

The St. Joseph County Prosecutor’s Office charged Larry Lewis, 65, with home improvement fraud and two counts of theft.

According to court documents:

The couple hired Lewis in 2013 as a handyman to replace a circuit breaker in their home’s electrical box.
