Last chance for Girl Scout Cookies

Staff Writer

AREA — March 4, 2015 - The next two weekends may be your last chance to purchase Girl Scout cookies for the year. The tasty treats that help girls learn financial literacy skills will be sold at various locations for the final two weekends of March 6-8 and 13-15.

Customers may download and use a mobile app on their smartphones to find more information about Girl Scout cookie booths in their area. A cookie booth locator is also available online at or customers can send an email to IWANTCOOKIES@GSNIM.ORG and an online order form will be emailed to the customer from a Girl Scout.

Customers who buy cookies from their local Girl Scouts can be assured the proceeds will directly benefit Girl Scouts in their community. One hundred percent of the net revenue raised through Girl Scout Cookie sales in this area stays with GSNI-M and its troops, so customers who purchase Girl Scout Cookies are not only getting a delicious treat—they are also making an important investment in their communities.

Girl Scouts of Northern Indiana – Michiana are also selling cookies for Cookie Share, which benefits men and women serving in the military. The donated Girl Scout cookies are sent to men and women in the Coast Guard, Air National Guard, Army Guard, The Hugs Project of Elkhart, Grissom Air Force Base, and Blue Star Connection. Last year more than 5,000 packages of Girl Scout cookies were delivered to these men and women to thank them for their sacrifice while serving our country.
