LAKEVILLE — Larry J. Clady, 71, of Lakeville passed away at 2:13 a.m. Wednesday, June 26, 2013 in Memorial Hospital, South Bend. He was born May 1, 1942 in Lakeville to the late Jay H. and Ethylene (Cohee) Clady. On May 24, 2008 in Lakeville he was united in marriage to Pat (Snyder) Frick Clady.
Larry is survived by his wife, Pat Clady; daughter, Tammy (Ben) Kane of Lakeville; son, Joe (Renee) Clady of Walkerton; stepdaughter, Michelle (Greg) Stone of Carmel; two stepsons, Mike (Deanna) Hanley of South Bend and Jon (Lisa) Hanley of North Liberty; four grandchildren, Kelsey and Matthew Clady, Isabella and Cassidy Kane; five stepgrandchildren, Lindsey Hanley, William, Emily, Gregory and Molly Stone; two brothers, Ron (Judy) Clady of Lakeville and Rex (Betty) Clady of Chickamauga, Ga. and sister-in-law, Wilda Clady of Mishawaka. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Jack Clady.
Larry was a lifelong resident of Lakeville. He graduated in 1960 from Lakeville High School. He retired as an electrician for Dodge Manufacturing after 36 years of service. He worked for IBEW for five years and was currently a funeral assistant at Palmer Funeral Home. He also was retired after 26 years as a fireman and past fire chief of the Lakeville Fire Dept. He was a member of the Lakeville United Methodist Church where he served as a trustee. He was a member and Past Master of Lakeville Masonic Lodge #353 and Order of the Eastern Star Lakeville Chapter #479 and a member of IBEW.
Visitation will be held from 3-8 p.m. Friday, June 28, 2013 in Lakeville United Methodist Church, 610 N. Michigan St., Lakeville where a Masonic Memorial Service will be held at 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 29, 2013 in the church with visitation one hour prior. Rev. Greg Crump will officiate. Graveside services and burial will follow at Southlawn Cemetery, South Bend. Palmer Funeral Home-Lakeville is assisting the family with arrangements.
