LAPORTE — While the Lady Pilgrims suffered a 59-51 loss at LaPorte Tuesday night, Plymouth head coach Dave Duncan was still happy with his team's effort.
Plymouth was led by Hunter Stevens' double-double of 32 points with 11 rebounds. Nicole Horvath went down early with a leg injury, and Shannon Stephenson stepped in with some big minutes for the sophomore.
Allie Wright was her usual tenacious self on defense, holding LaPorte's Nicole Konieczny to just three points in the first half and 12 for the game.
Plymouth also out-rebounded larger LaPorte 24-22.
