Lady Cats knock Lady Falcons from unbeaten ranks

HAMLET — Oregon-Davis has Glenn’s number.
Plain and simple.
On Tuesday night at The Den in front of a raucous, near sell-out crowd, Terry Minix’s Lady Cats won their 13th straight game over the Lady Falcons, 58-53.
And in so doing toppled Class 3A’s No. 5-ranked team from the ranks of the unbeaten.
The Lady Cats were led by Taylor Kranenburg's game-high 18 points, team-high 10 rebounds and five steals. Junior Lexi Minix finished with 15 points and eight assists for OD, which trailed much of the night but took a 54-51 lead on Kranenburg's triple late in the fourth quarter.
The Falcons were led by Loren Vukovits' 17 points and 11 rebounds. Kyler Columbia scored 14 points, as did Kyannah Stull, who also recorded five assists and five steals.
The two teams could meet again in next week's Bi-County Tournament.
