WARSAW — H. Albert Earl, 69, of Warsaw died Jan. 29, 2013 at 5:30 p.m. at his residence. He had been in declining health since October 2012.
He was born Jan. 17, 1944 in Cumberland Gap, Tenn. to Jack and Edith R. (Stanifer) Earl. He has lived in Kosciusko County since 1955, coming from Claiborne County, Tenn.
On Nov. 22, 1964 in rural Kosciusko County, he married Jennie Lou Lee. They shared 49 years together.
Albert worked for Creighton Brothers as a truck driver for 15 years, Warsaw; In 1973 he went to work at Beachwood Truss in Atwood and worked as plant manager until his retirement in April 2006. He then started to work at the Earl-Grossman Funeral Home in Argos and the Earl-Love Funeral Home in Akron with his son and daughter-in-law.
He was a member of the Warsaw Wesleyan Church, Warsaw; a member of the Atwood Lions Club, where he served as president in 2002-2003; member of the Nappanee Raceway and the International Trotting & Pacing Harness Racing Association.
He is survived by his wife – Jennie Earl, Atwood; children – Shawnee Hughes and husband Mark of Mentone; Alan Earl and wife Luella of Argos; Angela Himes and husband AJ of Atwood; and Amie Rodgers of Warsaw; grandchildren — Derek and Patrick Hughes; Brandy Veach, Joshua Earl, and Alex Earl; Kristina and Michael Ammerman; Lillie Collins and Autumn Rodgers; great-grandchildren – Tyler and Grady Veach; brothers – Don Earl and wife Debbie of Warsaw; Ray Earl and wife Becky of Warsaw; Ron Earl and wife Margarette of North Las Vegas, Nev.; and sisters – Betty Smith of Ft. Myers, Fla.; Judy Fleming and husband Jim of Warsaw; Jane Earl of Warsaw; Pat Welker and husband Terry of Warsaw.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Friends may visit with the family Friday, Feb. 1, 2013 from 3 – 8 p.m. at the Warsaw Wesleyan Church, 2402 W. Old Rd. 30, Warsaw. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday Feb. 2, 2013 at the church officiated by Rev. Gale Janofski of the Warsaw Wesleyan Church. Burial will be at Harrison Center Cemetery, Etna Green.
