KNOX — Orlean Allen, 75, died Friday, July 5, 2013 in her home.
Survivors include four sons, William (Linda) Spencer and Robert (Teresa) Spencer, all of Knox, Ordway (Lucy) Allen of Bremen and Samuel (Charlotte) Allen of Star City; one daughter, Esther (Dan) Hamilton of North Judson; 29 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and three brothers, Edgar (Marie) Smith, Homer (Evie) Smith and Samuel (Roberta) Barnett.
Funeral services were Monday, July 8, 2013 at 11 a.m. CDT at Souls Harbor Church, North Judson. Burial followed at Round Lake Cemetery, Knox. GROVERTOWN — Virgil O. Herring, 78, of Starke County died in his home at 3:30 p.m. July 2, 2013.
He is survived by his wife, Hope Herring of Grovertown; children and stepchildren, Debra Durffey of Wattsburg, Pa., David Owen (Loretta) Herring of Union City, Pa., Israel Wilcox of Bourbon, Ira Scott Grounds of Plymouth, Virgil Shane (Jennifer) Grounds of New Orleans, La., P. Denna Grounds of Evansville, Sgt. Angel Grounds of Ft. Riley, Kan., and Isaiah Lincoln Grounds of Grovertown; a brother, Rodney (Sylvia) Herring of Centerville, Pa.; four grandchildren and six stepgrandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held in Townville, Pa. under the direction of Willis L. Arnold Funeral Home, Townville. Burial was in Kingsley Cemetery, Townville.
The Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home, Plymouth was in charge of local arrangements.

WINAMAC — Ann Amelia Selle, 91, of Winamac died at 6:55 a.m. Saturday, July 6, 2013 at Pulaski Memorial Hospital in Winamac.
She is survived by sons, Thomas (Arlena) Dixon, Indianapolis, Michael Dixon, Plymouth; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, July 11, 2013, in St. Peter’s Catholic Church, Winamac. Burial will take place in the St. Peter’s Cemetery, Winamac. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, July 10, 2013 at Frain Mortuary.

ETNA GREEN — Carolyn Sue (Mast) Chupp, 45, of Etna Green, died Saturday, July 6, 2013 at 3:30 a.m. at her residence from natural causes.
She is survived by her husband, Merle D. Chupp; sons, Steven Lynn and Darrin Lamar Chupp; three daughters, Susan Elaine, Laura Beth, and Doris Ann Chupp, all at home; three brothers, Lamar Mast of Etna Green, Paul Mast of South Bend, and Galen Mast of Bourbon; and two sisters, Linda (Floyd) Hochstetler of Nappanee, and Rosemary Mast of Etna Green.
Visitation was at the family residence Sunday, July 7, after 1 p.m. and all day Monday. Funeral services will take place Tuesday, July 9, 2013, at 9:30 a.m. at Jake Beechy’s residence (8611 W 750 N, Etna Green). Burial will follow at Graber Cemetery. Thompson-Lengacher & Yoder Funeral Home, Nappanee, is assisting with arrangements.
