• Nelson’s Port-A-Pit Fundraiser for Mexico Mission Trip from 11 a.m. - 6 p.m. or until sold out at Centier Bank Parking Lot, 537 N. Oak Drive, Plymouth. Chicken $7, Pork Chops $7, Pit-Tatoes $4. Amish Fried Pies in a variety of flavors $4 each or 3 for $10. Credit and debit accepted.
• Marbleized Painting Class for KIDS, ages 10 yrs + and adults from 1 - 3 p.m. at Heartland Artists Gallery. Gloria Seitz, artist, will be teaching the class. Students will learn the basics of marbleized painting to make a print. Paint will be manipulated as it floats on the gel thickened solution. All supplies included. Cost is $25 if paid before Oct. 14, $30 after that date. Call 936-9515 to reserve your space.
• The 12th annual Haunted Woods Trail takes place at the Fulton County Historical Society grounds, 4 miles north of Rochester on US 31. Tours start at 7:30 p.m. rain or moonlight. Cost is $7for adults, $3 for children ages 6 -11, free for children 5 and under. Children younger than 15 must be accompanied by an adult. Tickets will be sold 7:30 to 11 p.m. at the museum. Refreshments sold in the museum. Volunteers welcome. This is a guided tour with tram ride to the woods, where visitors walk through the haunted woods. Extra on site security will be provided. The tour takes approximately one hour. Some waiting is expected. All proceeds benefit the museum.
• Community Services of Starke County Fish Fry from 4-7 p.m. at the Nancy J. Dembowski Community Center in downtown Knox. All you can eat. Carry outs available. $9 for adults; $4 for ages 6-11 and free for those five and under. Desserts available at additional cost and provided by Delta Kappa Gamma.
• Wicked Woods at Broken Arrow Campground, 3045 N. Hwy 35, Winamac from 7:30-10:30. Cost is $7 for adults and $5 for children (12 and younger).
• Knights of Columbus presents Dancing away to the Oldies. Doors open at 5:30 p.m., 901 E. Jefferson, Plymouth. Cost is $7 for adults/$10 for couples. Food available.
• Arts and Crafts Festival North Liberty Community Center, 300 S. Main St., North Liberty from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
