Bremen and the state bicentennial

Indiana’s 200th year of history will be celebrated in 2016. A celebration is planned throughout the state on a grand scale. There will be a torch relay that will pass through the state’s 92 counties, cover over 2300+ miles, in a six-week period.
Festivities to celebrate this Bicentennial will vary from town to town. As part of this celebration, Bremen invites everyone to rejoice in the town’s history through music, movies, park activities and a revival of a German tradition, Oktoberfest. Efforts are under way now to plan this grandiose event. The town needs board members, committee chairs and volunteers. The committees include: Events, Food, Entertainment, Environmental, Competition and Education.
