Andrew DeWayne Ginther
Jan. 24, 1983 - Oct. 15, 2013
BREMEN — Andrew DeWayne Ginther, 30, of Bremen, went home to work the fields of Heaven with his Heavenly Father on Tuesday, Oct. 15, 2013. He was born on Jan. 24, 1983 to Herman and Lori Ann (Yarian) Ginther in South Bend. Andy graduated from Bremen High School in 2002 and it was no surprise that he continued his work in local fields as a farmer. His passions often took him outdoors; he loved water skiing, snowmobiling, four wheeling, and working in his yard. When the fish were biting, he loved to cast a reel close to home and in Minnesota with his Dad. Andy was very family oriented and couldn’t have loved his son AJ anymore than he did.
Andy will be forever missed by his parents, Herman (Loraine) Ginther of Bremen and Lori Ann (Dale) Rex of Argos; his son, Andrew James “AJ” Ginther of Bremen; his sister, Emily Ann (Daniel) Richards of Bremen; a stepsister, Elisabeth Sheaks Davis of Indianapolis; three stepbrothers, Dale Rex Jr. of Fort Wayne, Deven Rex of Argos and Casey Sheaks of Lakeville; a paternal grandmother, Delores Ginther of Bremen; a maternal grandmother, Mary Ann (Kenny) Yarian of Michigan; a paternal grandfather, Herman (Rose) Ginther of Cromwell; a maternal great-grandmother, LaVanch Yarian of Bremen; a girlfriend, with whom he lived, Shelley Connon of Bremen; two nieces, Alyssa Richards and Jazlyn Richards; a nephew, Jensen Richards; a great-nephew, Thomas Gordy; his cherished dog, Thunder; his cat, Cat; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by great-grandparents, Bob and Ruth Kiefer; a great-grandfather, Earl Yarian; and a great-grandfather, Ray Ginther.
A funeral service in Andy’s honor will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 19, 2013 at Mishler Funeral Home in Bremen. Andy’s cousin, Roby Nichols and friend, Josh Walter will officiate with burial following in the Bremen Cemetery.
Andy’s family and friends may call from 2-8 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 18, 2013 at the funeral home.
All memorial contributions may be made to the Andrew James “AJ” Ginther College Fund.
