2nd Friday's theme is sweet corn

PLYMOUTH — Join the Plymouth Chamber of Commerce and downtown businesses from 6 - 8 p.m. Friday Aug. 9, for 2nd Fridays in Downtown Plymouth.

“We are celebrating the harvest of sweet corn, with a ‘Sweet Corn Festival,’” executive director Betty Glaub-Gibbs said.
Roasted sweet corn and tasty sausage sandwiches will be available outside A.S.K. for Flowers for a $1 each.

Musical entertainment includes Randy Jones and Mike Lintner will be performing from 7 - 8 p.m. by the Marshall County Museum and a bounce house is available for children on Garro Street provided by Plymouth Bounce.

Corn hole games are at Yoder’s and L & K Serendipity, and kids tattoo and face painting is also at L & K Serendipity.

La Dezert Café will be opening their new Cupcake Bar.

In addition to cooking the corn and sausages, A.S. K. For Flowers will be having a Gir-affle - buy any 2 Melissa and Doug items (min combined $10 value and be entered to win a 4, 8” Giraffe valued at $100.
At 6:30 p.m., a corn eating contest gets underway in front of the chamber. The winner gets $25 in Chamber Bucks.

At the Marshall County Museum , visitors can take in a a PowerPoint presentation by Kurt Garner on “The Architectural History of Downtown Plymouth.” the program starts at 7 p.m. .
