Heavy rains predicted for Thursday could dump about an inch of precipitation on Marshall County but it’s not expected to cause the Yellow River in Plymouth to break its banks.

The Yellow River in Knox reached major flood stage shortly after 2 p.m. earlier today, according to the National Weather Service.
Major flood stage for the Yellow River is 14 feet and the river is expected to crest at 15.1 feet at 7 p.m. Saturday, according to the NWS.

Missing Knox woman found dead Friday

A Knox woman missing since mid-January was found dead in her vehicle at a Winamac car dealership on Friday, a Knox radio station reported.
WKVI cited Knox police Chief Harold Smith as confirming the death of 37-year-old Barb McCurdy, who was reported missing on Jan. 14.

Felony dropped against woman allegedly connected to Starke County murder case

The Starke County Prosecutor’s Office has dropped a charge against a North Judson woman accused of helping a man suspected of shooting to death 35-year-old Cord Colgrove in March.

Moped, SUV collision sends two to hospital

KNOX – At 9:20 a.m. this morning on St. Rd. 35 a moped t-boned a SUV that was exiting the McDonald's parking lot. The moped was traveling at roughly 25mph when it collided with the driver's side of the SUV.

Ancilla launches new autism program

Ancilla College is launching a groundbreaking new residential college-level autism education program designed for high school graduates with autism. Plans will be unveiled at a press conference Friday, April 7th at Ancilla College, located near Plymouth, Indiana.
