TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — Patricia Ann (Conner) Mundinger, beloved mother and grandmother, passed away early Sept. 15, 2010 due to advanced Alzheimer’s. She suffered from this terrible disease for the last 10 years. The youngest of eight children born in Ft. Branch, Ind., the family moved to Beecher, Ill. where she also went to high school. Captain of her cheerleading squad and graduating in 1960, she married Clifford E. Mundinger in August of 1962, and moved to Park Forrest Ill. in 1969, where she worked as a bookkeeper for a car dealership until the family moved to Plymouth in 1978.
With bowling a passion, she worked at Quick’s Lanes throughout the 80s and eventually opening up JR’s Lanes & Lounge Family Fun Center in Crown Point, Ind., in January 1992.
Active in foster care and helping underprivileged children, she became ME’MA in June 1994 when her first grandson was born. She was blessed with two more.
Forced to retire from St. Thomas More Church in Tallahassee, Fla. during 2002 due to the onset of Alzheimer’s, she was cared for at home by her husband of 45 years.
Pat is survived by two sons, Cliff Jr., (Debi) and Richard (Clare), three grandsons: Jonathan, Christian and Mathew and many other "adopted" kids she called her own.
A memorial service will be held Oct. 3, at 3 p.m. at 917 Jessica St., Tallahassee, FL, 32305.
