PIERCETON — Leslie A. Hodges, 42, of Pierceton died Sunday, Feb. 26, 2012 at 5:35 p.m. at her home from injuries she suffered in a farm machinery accident.
Leslie was born the daughter of James Hodges and Toni Burnett Wheeler Sept. 7, 1969 at Plymouth and was a resident of the area all her life. She was a graduate of Triton High School with the class of 1988. She was also a member of the American Quarter Horse Association and loved her two dogs; “Jack” and “Peeps” and her horses. She worked at D & T Transportation of Goshen delivering RVs.
She is survived by her father, James and Deb Hodges of Rochester, her mother, Toni Wheeler of Pierceton, stepfather Joe Wheeler of Elkhart, her brother Wesley Hodges of Tippecanoe, four stepbrothers; Larry “Pete” and wife Jill Thompson of Bourbon, Chad and wife Missy Thompson of Warsaw, Jeremy Wheeler of Elkhart, and Chris Mooney of Ft. Wayne. Additional family include her maternal grandmother, Ann Burnett of Warsaw, Susan (Bill) Harr, Lonny (Norma) Hodges, Dustin (Jennifer) Hollar, Billy Harr, Pat Hodges and Patrick Jr., Chase, Dana and Shelby.
Leslie was preceded in death by her brother, James “Jimmy” Hodges December of 2010 and Grandma Mary and Norman Hodges.
The family will receive friends Friday from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. in the Deaton-Clemens Funeral Home, 115 S. Main St., Bourbon.
A graveside service will follow at approximately 2 p.m. in the Parks Hill Cemetery, Bourbon. The family requests memorial contributions to: Kosciusko County Animal Welfare League in her memory.
