BREMEN — It’s been an exciting start to the 2011 football season for the Bremen Lions.
After breaking a 23-year drought against Plymouth in Week 1, they went on to earn a program-first win at Tippecanoe Valley Friday. Now, Bremen’s Sept. 9 game with Triton has been chosen as the second game on the Indianapolis Colts’ Friday Night Football Tour.
“When we found out about it, the first thing we thought of was how much the entire community would enjoy it,” said Bremen High School Athletic Director Troy Holmes. “The Colts are doing it to build their fan-base, and they support Indiana high school football, and I think we’re pretty fortunate to be a part of that.”
The Tour will be open at 5:30 p.m. and will feature the Colts’ traveling museum, Colts In Motion, a 42-foot trailer equipped with interactive videos, a chance to feel the field turf and a behind the scenes look at the team. Other Friday Night Football Tour elements include Colts Cheerleader autographs, Quarterback Challenge football toss, Colts giveaways and fans may also register to win Colts tickets and prizes.
As a part of the 2011 Friday Night Football Tour, the Indianapolis Colts will make a $500 donation to each of the home team’s football and cheerleading programs on behalf of the Friday Night Football Tour sponsors. The Friday Night Football Tour is presented by Herff Jones, Ivy Tech, Farmers Insurance Group, and Indiana Education Savings Authority.
“The 2011 Friday Night Football Tour will collaborate with MYINDIANAFOOTBALL.COM in an effort to strengthen youth and high school football across the state,” said Tom Zupancic, Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing for the Colts. “This website allows every high school in the state of Indiana to have their own web page devoted exclusively to their team. These programs are only a couple examples of how supportive and committed the Indianapolis Colts are to every level of football.”
