The Culver Lake Fest committee encourages residents to think…summer! Friday, Saturday and Sunday, July 15 through 17, the 28th annual “Culver Lake Fest” will “Honor Our Heroes.”
Mike Overmyer, Lake Fest Committee President, said, “We are very excited about this year’s theme, and we want to pay tribute to the heroes that live and have worked in our community and just say thanks for their service to our country.”
The festivities will kick off Friday afternoon with food, arts and crafts booths, talent contest, and the Miss Maxinkuckee pageant. A Saturday packed full of activities and events for all ages is scheduled. The Lion’s Club will host a pancake and sausage breakfast. Other Saturday events will include: bass fishing tournament, Walk-Fun Run - 5 mile run, parade, kid’s games, wake board show, fireman’s water ball contest and live entertainment. The day will end with a spectacular fireworks display over beautiful Lake Maxinkuckee. Sunday will start of with the traditional Lion’s Club pancake and sausage breakfast. A community church service and the L’Max bike ride will take place in the morning. The car show will anchor the park as food, arts and crafts booths continue throughout the day.
