PLYMOUTH — It was like watching a bad rerun. All over again.
For the second straight game, Plymouth battled down to the wire only to fall short in overtime.
It was also the team’s third loss to be decided in extra periods this season, and, as in their first such loss to Peru, second quarter mistakes came back to haunt the Pilgrims as visiting Elkhart Memorial put the game away at the line, handing their hosts another heartbreaker, 55-47, in a Northern Lakes Conference game at The Rock Friday.
“I don’t feel like we played that well, but I think that’s a credit to them,” said Memorial head basketball coach Mark Barnhizer. “They made us play this way, and we always feel like anytime we can win down here — I don’t care if they put Mr. Magoo out there to play — we feel like it’s a good win because it’s just a hard place to win.”
