PLYMOUTH — the National Weather Service is not including Marshall County in the Lake Effect snows expected to move into the area overnight.
Starke County, however is under a snow watch as the first significant lake effect snow event of the season is predicted to move into the area tonight and Tuesday.
According to the advisory, an Arctic cold front will move through the area this afternoon with very cold air and northerly winds to follow tonight into Tuesday. This setup is expected to lead to lake effect snow showers, with the possibility of an intense single band of snow with significant accumulations of 3 - 7 inches possible.
Starke, La Porte and St. Joseph counties in Indiana and Berrien County in Michigan are under this advisory.
