Norma J. Leslie

PLYMOUTH — Norma J. Leslie, 78, residing in Plymouth, passed away at 3:45 p.m. Sunday, April 21, 2013 at the Northside Hospital, St. Petersburg, Fla. Mrs. Leslie was born July 3, 1934 in North Appolo, Pa. to the late Emmett and Gertrude Mae (Hartman) Brubaker. On Sept. 27, 2002 at the Pine Creek Church of the Brethren in North Liberty, Norma married Benjamin A. Leslie who survives.
Along with her husband, Benjamin, survivors include her two children, Glenda (Kelvin) Fluckey of Plymouth and Gary (Susan) Noe of Myaka City, Fla.; four grandchildren, Jason (Lynndi) Fluckey, Juston (Candace) Fluckey, Jonathan Fluckey, and Christin Fluckey; one great-granddaughter, Ember Fluckey; three sisters, Dorothy Strunk of Walnut Grove, Calif., Alice Shlenburger of Meadville, Pa., and Orvetta Millinger of Kansas; and three brothers, Lester Brubaker of LaTrobe, Pa., Hallard Brubaker of St. Charles, Ill., and Vernon Brubaker of Dundee, Ill. Three sisters, Edna Parsons, Effie Altman and Virginia Bojtor; and two brothers, Leland and Carl Brubaker all preceded their sister in death.
Mrs. Leslie retired from Bendix Corporation in 1986 after 33 1/2 years of employment. She was a member of the Pine Creek Church of the Brethren, North Liberty.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 27, 2013 at the Palmer Funeral Home, 314 S. Michigan St., Lakeville. Pastor Steve VanHouten, pastor of Pine Creek Church of the Brethren, will officiate. Graveside services and burial will follow at Ferrisville Cemetery, Mishawaka. Friends may visit with the family from 4-8 p.m. Friday, April 26, at the Palmer Funeral Home, Lakeville and one hour prior to services Saturday.
