PLYMOUTH — Winter sports season tallies for the Northern Lakes Conference All-Sports standings are in, and Plymouth is ranked fourth and fifth in the girls and boys standings, respectively.
The girls have notched 46 points behind NorthWood’s 59 as only six points separate the fourth through sixth place all-sports scores in the competitive conference. Warsaw and Northridge are tied for top honors as the Lady Tigers have claimed a co-championship in golf — alongside NorthWood — as well as the league titles in basketball and volleyball, and the Raiders were soccer, cross country and swimming champs.
Plymouth has earned most of its points in volleyball and golf so far with 12 and 11 points.
Plymouth’s boys programs have earned the Pilgrims 66 points, just four behind Northridge’s and Goshen’s dual 70s in third place. Concord is ranked atop the NLC all-sports standings with 84 points ahead of Warsaw’s 78 as the Minutemen claimed the league basketball championship to go with its football co-championship and soccer title.
Rockies teams have earned Plymouth the lion’s share of its points as the wrestling squad recently wrapped up a conference co-championship season to go with the school’s football co-championship. Tennis earned Plymouth 14 of its points in second place in the league, and the basketball team finished up NLC play in fourth place with a trio of overtime losses for 12 points there.
