PLYMOUTH — Just a few weeks remain until the Plymouth Park Department’s highly-anticipated event — the Daddy Daughter Dance.
Recreation coordinator Scott Michel said that there are still spaces open for the Feb. 15 affair.
“You have to sign up at the Park Office and the cost is $10 for each couple, and then $2 for each additional guest,” noted Michel. “So if you have two daughters it will be $12.”
Last year, about 150 dads and daughters packed into the Webster Center and danced the night away.
“The girls really love it…I don’t think there is anything else like it around here,” said Michel. “We always do it around Valentine’s Day each year.”
Music this year is by Dawn’s Music Mix, and Michel said Kidz Bop tunes will be played.
“It’s kind of like pop music sung by kids, and it’s the clean version,” said Michel.
Snacks including chocolate, meat and cheese and veggie trays, and punch will be available at the event, and a professional photo is included in the price of admission. Each girl will also go home with a goodie bag.
During the night, girls have the opportunity to win a door prize — a Disney Princess pogo stick.
“Any and all ages are welcome, and there’s no dress code,” said Michel. “We have quite a few people signed up already.”
The event begins at 7 p.m. and is expected to end around 9 p.m.
With questions about the event, contact Michel at 574-936-7255. There’s no deadline to sign up, but parents must pay in person at the Park Office.
“We will take reservations until we are full,” noted Michel.
