NEW CARLISLE — The Glenn Wing-T rushing attack had three modes of
operation in Friday's Class 3A Sectional 17 semifinal victory.
Over, around and through.
Led by senior Collin Howard and junior Josh Anderson, the Falcons
rumbled for 324 yards in a 34-0 victory over host New Prairie.
The Falcons (9-2) play Andrean, a 41-0 winner over Culver Military
Academy, in next week's sectional championship.
Howard led Glenn with 10 rushes for 168 yards and four touchdown runs.
Anderson rushed 10 times for 103 yards and one touchdown.
Both Howard and Anderson, Glenn's leading rusher this season who has
missed the past two games, ran with purpose. They blasted through the
first line of contact and often found the end zone.
"The (rushing attack) was very effective tonight," Glenn coach Justin
Bogunia said. "I think not having Josh the last couple of weeks has
given (Collin) a little more confidence in running the ball, and I think
it makes us more effective because teams are trying to scheme against
Josh and then Collin's getting the ball."
