BREMEN — If two hours of holiday singing and dancing from the Bremen Swing Choir doesn’t put you in the Christmas mood, nothing will.
The show will take place Saturday, Dec. 15 at 7:30 p.m. In the Bowen Auditorium. Bremen Choir Director Kathy Overmyer said this year’s top ensemble of 34 high school students each auditioned for the opportunity to put on a show that audience members of all ages will enjoy. This is the biggest group she said she has had since the group’s rebirth in 2008.
“This year’s theme is ‘On With the Snow’ and will feature music all about snow,” she explained. “Some favorite numbers will be ‘Frosty the Snowman,’ ‘Baby It’s Cold Outside’ and ‘Hot Chocolate’ from the movie ‘The Polar Express.’”
The entire Swing Choir will do more than a dozen group numbers and several smaller group and solo performances will feature the talented teens.
Admission is $5 per person and the funds collected will go toward purchasing music and props for the group’s next big show in May. Doors will open at 7 p.m. Handicap seating is available.
