PLYMOUTH — Plymouth High School finished the fall season rated fourth in the girls standings and fifth in the boys standings in the Northern Lakes Conference All-Sports tally, the conference announced recently.
Plymouth’s girls sports teams pushed the school into fourth place with 35 total points, 12 of which came in volleyball and 11 in golf.
Warsaw finished the season in first with 53 points helped by girls golf and volleyball championships, while Northridge was second with 48 points on the strength of a girls soccer and girls cross country championship, and NorthWood wound up in third six points behind Northridge with girls golf co-championship honors.
PHS’ boys teams placed fifth with 37 points just one point behind Northridge and Goshen, who tied for third in the fall all-sports tally.
Plymouth scored 15 points with its NLC co-championship in football and also put up 14 points via a strong conference finish in boys tennis.
Warsaw’s boys won the tally with 53 points on the strength of NLC championship finishes in tennis and cross country. Concord was a close second with 52 points as the school won the league soccer championship and tied with Plymouth for co-champ honors in football.
