Wakarusa’s first Chamber Tractor Show was a great success. Fifty-three tractors of all makes and models lined the chilly but sunny streets of Wakarusa Saturday, Oct. 27. Committee member Shane Weldy of New To You Consignment Store, said “I heard many positive comments on the day and they definitely want us to have it again next year.”
Spectators took part in voting for their favorite, choosing a 1957 Minneapolis-Moline 335 utility tractor owned by John Marker.
Other Best of Show winners included:
Vintage to 1949 — a 1934 John Deere GPD owned by Ernest Chupp of Nappanee;
1950s — a 1954 Ferguson Pony owned by Brent and LaMar Haloway of Osceola and Wakarusa
