Low-cost rabies clinic Saturday

September 19, 2014

MARSHALL COUNTY — The Bourbon Veterinary Clinic has teamed up with the Marshall County Humane Society for a rabies clinic Saturday Sept. 20.

"The reason there hasn't been a rabies epidemic is because rabies vaccines are required by Indiana state law," said Marshall County Humane Society Director Nancy Cox. "This clinic is not designed to replace regular veterinary care; it is for people that need a little help getting their pet up to date on their shots."

Opposition by two town residents present caused a heated discussion to ensue.

According to County Attorney James Clevenger the POS is expected to be distributed yet this week.
