Winter storm watch in effect tomorrow

March 10, 2014

MARSHALL COUNTY — The Emergency Management Agency just issued the following winter storm watch for tomorrow into Wednesday, based on predictions from the National Weather Service.

The National Weather Service of Northern Indiana has issued a Winter Storm Watch which is in effect from late Tuesday night through Wednesday afternoon.

Snow is expected to develop around midnight Tuesday and continue into Wed. morning. The snow is forecast to taper off by late Wednesday morning or early Wednesday afternoon.

Bourbon man arrested for providing alcohol to minor

TIPPECANOE— A Bourbon man who is an employee of the Tippecanoe School District was arrested Friday by Indiana State Police. The charges stem from two incidents in which alcohol was given to a 15-year-old student.

Sentencing completed on two men convicted of meth related charges

PLYMOUTH - Mark Howard, Argos, and David Garman, Knox were sentenced Thursday in Marshall County Superior Court in two separate cases involving meth.

ISTEP testing begins next week

MARSHALL COUNTY — School districts are using a testing delay authorized by the state Department of Education to prepare students for the mandated state testing of students. Some schools, like Riverside Intermediate (profiled in a related story in today's Pilot News) held pep rallies to get students relaxed.

Accident report released for vehicle vs. train

TIPPECANOE — The Marshall County Police have released the accident report on the vehicle versus train accident that occurred yesterday afternoon. The driver of the vehicle was treated at the scene.

Time change this weekend

MARSHALL COUNTY — If proof is needed that spring is on its way, Daylight Savings Time goes into effect Sunday, March 9 when clocks are pushed ahead one hour.

The change occurs at 2 a.m. Sunday, which means time will move 60 minutes to 3 a.m.
