January 18, 2012

PLYMOUTH — The Marshall County Health Department announced another change to immunization eligibility requirements Tuesday afternoon.

These changes were originally slated to take place last summer, but were postponed until now.

New film features Plymouth grad

January 18, 2012

ST. LOUIS — Plymouth grad Bill Finkbiner’s road from PHS to feature film has been a long and eventful one — and one he almost didn’t take.
“For me it all started in (teacher) Kathy Richter’s speech class,” said Bill from his home in St. Louis. “We had done a couple of speeches for class and she told me I should join the speech team. I had never really considered that and I told her to give me three reasons why I should. She said, ‘you’re good, you’ll win and... you’ll win.’”

More than 500 show for Reinhold benefit

January 17, 2012

CULVER — Culver’s Rob Reinhold may have summed up the enormity of Saturday’s benefit for his family in describing the event: “Overwhelming.”
Family members, friends, and attendees in general would concur, though the question lingers as to what was more overwhelming: the incredible community turnout or the amount of money raised. In both cases, the numbers are — well, overwhelming.

Key Club students volunteer for MLK Day

January 17, 2012

PLYMOUTH — A usually very "played in" kid's room, sparkling with freshly cleaned floors and walls. Tidied-up animal cages. Calm dogs, worn out from exercise. A group of fifth graders learning about decimals in a new way.
These were some of the small, yet meaningful contributions that Plymouth Key Club students made to the community Monday as they did service tasks in observance of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. About 60 students worked at the Marshall County Humane Society, the Boys and Girls Club, and Riverside Intermediate School.
