Store manager charged with selling synthetic pot

LAPAZ — A gas station/convenience store manager has been arrested on charges that he has been selling synthetic pot from the store on the corner of US Highway 31 an US Highway 6.

CULVER — The Marshall County Coroner said medical issues are the most likely cause of death of a 71-year-old male who was found Wednesday in what was called a "rat-infested" home.

Plymouth School Board expected to fill board vacancy Tuesday

PLYMOUTH — A special board meeting is set for 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 29 in the Plymouth Community School Corporation's administration board room. The purpose of the meeting is to address a recent board vacancy. Several candidates for the open seat have been interviewed.

Power outage in Plymouth

PLYMOUTH — A power outage affecting more than 1,000 NIPSCO customers was reported at 6 a.m. "Equipment failure" is the cause of the outage, according to a company spokesperson. Power was restored shortly before 7:30 a.m., according to the company website.

Pilgrims keep rolling at Concord

ELKHART — A win is a win is a win and it doesn’t matter how it came, Plymouth’s Pilgrims will take it as they start the NLC season with a second big road win, last night over Concord by a 7-1 final.
For four innings Concord starter Brendon Curry was tossing a perfect game but in the fifth the wheels came off — as they say — as Plymouth was able to put up six runs on just one hit.

Train vs.car accident results in arrest

MARSHALL COUNTY — A woman who claimed that a friend had borrowed her car and got it stuck on railroad tracks late Monday was arrested for operating a vehicle while intoxicated. Her car was hit by an eastbound train, but she escaped injury.

Park, river cleanup set for this weekend

PLYMOUTH — The Mayor's Youth Council is organizing a clean-up effort in downtown Plymouth, including picking up trash along the river. The event is Saturday and the community is invited to take part.
