Water line problems linked to cold temps

February 14, 2014

MARSHALL COUNTY — The frost line, the level of soil frozen solid in the ground, has reached depths not normally seen. In areas around Marshall County that level has reached three feet or more. Some communities have been asked to leave their water run at a pencil thin stream in order to keep water lines from freezing.

Museum hosting "Brown Bag Lunch" series; Candy making class in Argos; Daddy Daughter dance tonight

PLYMOUTH — The Marshall County Museum Brown Bag Lunch Series will kick off with Kurt Garner, local architect and president of Wythougan Valley Preservation Council, presenting a program entitled, “Coast to Coast in Indiana.” Bring a sack lunch. In-house probation visit results in arrest

ARGOS — An Argos man is in jail after Indiana State Police and Marshall County Probation officials conducted a home visit Wednesday. The new charges are the result of what was found in the home during the visit.

Fire destroys house in Argos

ARGOS — The residents of a house on Linden Road in Argos are alive but their home is likely a total loss. The fire started Wednesday and rekindled early Thursday.

Fire in Argos

February 13, 2014

ARGOS — Plymouth Fire Department has been called to the scene of a house fire in in the 16700 block of Linden Road in Argos. A fire has rekindled at that location.

The rekindled fire was put out after a couple of hours. A report on the fire will be provided in tomorrow's edition of the Pilot News.

BREMEN — The Bremen Town Council has set aside a day later this month to honor the late Otis R. Bowen, a long-time Bremen resident, doctor and former Governor of Indiana, among other accomplishments.

Humane Society Fundraiser is today

PLYMOUTH — A baked potato and salad lunch is today to benefit the Marshall County Humane Society. The luncheon is 11 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. at the Webster Center. Tickets are $8 at the door.

Plymouth High School students staging play

February 12, 2014

PLYMOUTH — A student written play, "Witness" will be performed at 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday at the Plymouth High School auditorium.

Snowmobile, foot chase ends in arrest

February 12, 2014

PLYMOUTH — Marshall County Police arrested a Plymouth man after he fled from a traffic stop on a snowmobile. In addition to outstanding warrants, the man now faces additional charges.
