Weather warning expires; Watch level travel advisory continues

MARSHALL COUNTY — The county remains under a "Watch" level travel advisory Tuesday, which means that travel on roadways is discouraged and should be limited to essential purposes only, such as to and from work. The advisory indicates that road conditions may be dangerous and caution is advised.

School districts call for two-hour delay

MARSHALL/STARKE/ST.JOSEPH COUNTIES — The following school districts have posted a two-hour delay to the start of school on Tuesday, Feb. 18:

Argos
Culver
John Glenn
Knox
Oregon Davis
Plymouth
Triton and
Union North (LaVille).

Culver School board meeting cancelled

CULVER — The School Board meeting scheduled for tonight has been cancelled. It is rescheduled to 7p.m. Monday, Feb. 24.

Marshall County 4-H meeting set for tonight is cancelled

PLYMOUTH— Due to bad weather that is headed our way and schools closing early, the Marshall County Extension Service is cancelling the Horse and Pony Meeting tonight at the Extension Office.

Marshall county still under "Watch" level travel advisory

MARSHALL COUNTY — Marshall County Emergency Management director Clyde Avery confirmed that the county will remain under a "watch" level travel advisory.

"Currently, Marshall County is under a Winter Weather Advisory that is in effect from 11 a.m. this morning until 11 p.m. tonight," Avery said. "Snow will overspread our area this afternoon with the heaviest snow falling at a rate of 1-2 inches per hour at times. The heaviest snow is predicted to occur between 3 p.m and 8 p.m. tonight. Snow totals of between 4 -6 inches are expected.

DONALDSON — Ancilla College has cancelled classes at 4 p.m. today.

Area schools closing early

Argos Schools are closing at 1:30 pm. Culver schools is dismissing at 1:40 p.m. Triton will release elementary students at 1:40 pm and high school students at 1:50 pm.
