Traffic stop leads to arrest

PLYMOUTH - A traffic stop by Marshall County Sheriff’s deputies led to a meth arrest.

On Friday at approximately 2:03 a.m. an officer initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle on US 30 near Elm Road for several moving violations.
During the course of the stop, it was determined that the driver, 20 year old Derek Hahn of Plymouth was believed to be under the influence of controlled substance.

Sheriff's budget stands to lose funds earned from Meals on Wheels

PLYMOUTH - Marshall County Sheriff Tom Chamberlin came before the Marshall County Commissioners seeking some answers on Monday.
Chamberlin had received a draft of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the county and Marshall County Council on Aging. The Sheriff’s Department contracts with the Council to provide the Meals on Wheels program.

Sentences handed down in meth manufacturing cases

PLYMOUTH — David Howe, 44, of Argos, was sentenced last week in Marshall Superior Court 1 to ten years imprisonment for manufacturing methamphetamine, a Class B felony.

As detailed in the press release issued Saturday by Assistant prosecutor Nelson Chipman, in open court, Howe admitted he manufactured methamphetamine in January and February 2013 in his home located on Hickory Road outside of Argos.

Drive -in Theatre facing expensive technology improvement

PLYMOUTH - A local landmark is working to remain a local treasure.
Plymouth’s Tri-Way drive in theatre has long been a part of Marshall County tradition. It would be hard to find a native of the area that hasn’t been to a film at the venue.

“People have proposed during shows at the theatre,” said managerial assistant Cindy Hamilton who along with Dave Kinney owns and operates the drive in.
