Winter storm watch in effect

MARSHALL COUNTY — The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm watch for Marshall County beginning at midnight and expected to remain in effect until Wednesday afternoon.

Forecasters are predicting moderate to heavy snow as part of a system that will bring rain, sleet and snow in addition to 15-30 miles per hour winds. Snow accumulations are expected to range between 5- 9 inches north of US. Highway 6 with lesser amounts to the south.

Wind gusts are likely to cause some blowing and drifting conditions.
