BOURBON — Wilma Jean Watson, 86, of 5845 14th Road, Bourbon, passed away Saturday, Nov. 19, 2011, at 11:21 p.m., at her home.
Jean was born March 6, 1925, in Fulton County, to Vernard and Ruby (Salts) Goodman. Jean married Charles W. Watson, May 19, 1946. He passed away July 27, 1978. Jean worked at the Plymouth County Club as their secretary, was a volunteer Pink Lady for Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center Auxiliary, and a member of the First Presbyterian Church. Jean and Bill built and owned the Huddle Grill, in Plymouth, in 1962. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She enjoyed playing bridge and crocheting.
Jean is survived by her daughters, Andrea (Stan) Bunch of Columbus, Sara Lisa (Dan) Doody of Bourbon, and Jennifer (Tom) Read of Plymouth; her sons, Bill (Lois) Watson of Plymouth, Tim “Homer” (Jeannie) Watson of Plymouth, Charles (Della) Watson of Argos, and Jon (Kathy) Watson of Rochester; 26 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren. Jean was preceded in death by her husband, Charles “Bill” Watson; her son, James D. Watson, Nov. 10, 2009; her granddaughter, Haley Corrine; her sister, Ruth South; and her three brothers.
