Widespread power outage unexplained

October 2, 2012

PLYMOUTH — A power outage that affected more than 7,500 NIPSCO customers in Plymouth alone has no explanation as of yet.
According to a representative from NIPSCO, the power went out in Plymouth around 3:15 and was out for most people for about 15 minutes.
There were reports of residents with REMC also reporting power outages throughout Marshall County from Culver to Bremen.
There were even reports of power outages in Starke County.
NIPSCO said it is currently investigating what caused the power outage.
